Scheduled to present Ethics Credit Session "Legal Ethics and E-Discovery: What Lawyers Need to Know"

The panel will discuss an attorney’s ethical obligations in eDiscovery, applicable rules, and best practices to help lawyers avoid risk in the e-discovery process. Attendees can earn up to 7.2 CLE credits (including Ethics) in NY, NJ and PA - pending approval.

TOPIC: Legal Ethics has become a major issue in eDiscovery as a result of the American Bar Association’s 2012 revisions to the comments to its Model Rules of Professional Conduct.  The rules emphasize a lawyer’s duty to understand technology to the question of what information may be subject to attorney-client privilege or the work product doctrine in technology assisted review. This panel will examine the lawyers’ ethical obligations, the applicable rules, and best practices to help lawyers avoid legal problems in the e-discovery process.
