Elmsford, NY -- April 2, 2009 -- PLANET DATA, a leading global provider of cost effective legal discovery management services, today announced the full integration of CERULEAN, LLC, an international information management company it acquired last fall that provides electronic document service solutions. The platform integration solidifies Planet Data's position as a full-service, cost effective solution provider for law firms and corporations.

The Cerulean Engine provides Planet Data with a significant increase in its ESI Unicode processing capacity, enhanced customer support, and improved operational efficiencies which save clients money while maintaining a fully defensible workflow solution. The approach allows complete flexibility and customization while processing massive amounts of data per day for legal teams to review. The program's speed is especially critical when preparing for litigation and investigative cases. As an example of the capacity of the current integrated platform, in a recent case for a major corporate client Planet Data processed over 150GB of non-standard email formats for a complicated multi-lingual case in less than 3 days. This processing capacity and speed was not possible prior to the new platform.

"We pride ourselves at Planet Data on being ahead of the curve," said Howard Reissner, Planet Data's CEO. "In acquiring Cerulean, we solidified our position as a global leader in the ESI market. We offer our clients a fast, flexible, and completely tailored process customized to their requirements. We are also extremely excited about the impending release of our leading-edge early case assessment tool -- EXEGO™, powered by The Cerulean Engine. EXEGO™ will enable our clients to estimate their potential costs very early in the discovery process, and ultimately keep their discovery costs down. "

Cerulean's Unicode-Compliant technique combines proprietary technology with a methodical workflow to ensure defensibility from records management and risk compliance through litigation support and document review. Unlike other firms in the industry, Cerulean developed and owned the processing platform. As a result, the product is defensible and Planet Data can easily and quickly make modifications and customize the process to adapt to a client's needs. Another big advantage of Cerulean's method is its ability to process foreign language data at rapid speeds.

The Cerulean acquisition strengthened Planet Data's management team in addition to its proprietary electronic discovery services. As part of the acquisition, Cerulean executives David Cochran (President) and Michael Wade (Chief Technology Officer), with nearly 50 years of combined experience in the industry, became the firm's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer respectively -- and were joined by the entire experienced Cerulean operations and development team.

"Planet Data is a leader in the field of Legal Discovery Management Services and we are pleased to have joined such a strong team," said David Cochran. "Being able to offer clients a complete platform of electronic discovery and give them greater value and service is our number one priority."
